Bardia National Park was established in 1976. Bardia National Park is located in the far western region of Nepal, on the plain land by the Indian border. Bardia National Park is the largest in Nepal, covering 968 Square Meters. Bardia National Park is a good habitat for tiger populations, with large grasslands and buffer zones. It's one of the most undisturbed national parks, which is why the tiger population is growing year to year. As it costs time and money to reach Bardia National Park, it has not become as touristic as Chitwan National Park. The freshwater dolphin can be seen during October & November as the water gets crystal blue. One can get to Bardia National Park by local bus, which takes about 13 hours, or by flight to Nepalgunj and then about an hour's drive from Nepalgunj airport to Bardia National Park. There are day and night businesses, and flights are operated from morning to late afternoon.
