Trip Itinerary

On your arrival day, our representative will meet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and accompany you to your accommodation. The rest of the day is free for you to relax. We'll also introduce you to your trekking guide. We recommend looking through your kit and purchasing any last-minute supplies. Later that evening, our company will provide a welcome meal for you.

Treks to Nar-Phu need a special permit. For the Nar-Phu Trek permit, we require an original passport and two passport-size pictures. A permit can only be obtained during working days. We can arrange tours to historic sites like Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square if you're interested in a guided day tour (It costs extra ).

From Kathmandu to Dharapani, we initially drive through the beautiful Nepali countryside, with lovely hills as a backdrop and isolated waterfalls and woods around. When you get to Dharapani, you can wander around the community while we check you into a basic lodge where we'll spend the night.

Although it is on a mules' route that is very well paved, the scenery we will see is quite different. We will be leaving the bustle of the villages below us and ascending above the tree line when we reach an altitude of around 2500 m. With a clear sky, we will have unmatched views of the Manaslu range. We'll stop for a quick tea break at Lata Manang before moving on to Koto.

We'll start the day by enrolling at the government checkpoint and then continue on our journey to Dharmasala, our first destination. The route gradually climbs to Meta as it passes through woodlands and across suspension bridges. Along with the difference in the environment, the residents' language and culture also reflect the Tibetan plateau. Watch the sunset over the far-off peaks of the Annapurna range during the evening.

We journey deep into the heart of ancient Tibet. Until recently, entering these areas was forbidden. As we move along the riverbank, you will be struck by the tranquility of the surroundings. We gradually rise into the Phu Valley, where you will view breathtaking cliffs and rock formations. Within a few hours, we'll arrive to Phu village, which is perched on a rock face and surrounded by a lush green valley. If you're up for another fast trek, check out the medieval Buddhist monastery perched atop the hill, or simply enjoy the breathtaking views.

After breakfast, we'll travel from Phu to Khyang before continuing to Nar. Along the trek, we will pass by several breathtaking gorges and waterfalls and catch a sight of the towering Pisang mountain. The ascent to Nar is a difficult yet spectacular segment.

With a history that dates back to the 11th century B.C., the settlements of Nar and the surrounding area were formerly totally uninhabited. The day will be spent learning about the Nar village's culture and way of life, as well as taking in some of the land's spirits while walking through the valley.

The walk's hardest day will come with some of the nicest views and the ability to brag about reaching an elevation of over 5,000 meters. We get up early, go slowly, and do it patiently. As we approach the halfway mark, we are treated to a breathtaking panorama of Pisang, Annapurna II, Gangapurna, and Tilicho peaks. After crossing the Kang La, we descend to Ngawal over a few hours. With any luck, we might spot the elusive snow leopard or Himalayan mountain goats.

After leaving the Tibetan plateau behind, we descend from Ngwal and are welcomed by the valleys of the Annapurna Valley. We make stop in Braga to explore the magnificent monastery and enjoy the views of the snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna range. We have a little climb ahead of us before we reach Manang. Manang is a big, well-equipped community, so take your time exploring and restocking on necessities.

Before trying the strenuous ascent to Letdar on our way to our second high pass, Thorong La, we hike to Tenki. Hiking through steep slopes offers another chance to spot Himalayan blue sheep. After arriving in Letdar, spend some time unwinding as the rapid ascent could cause altitude sickness.

We'll leave early from Letdar. This portion ascends and dips several times before reaching the Marsyangdi River. Following a quick lunch, we'll continue on the summit path to Thorong High Camp. Please keep an eye out for any signs of altitude sickness as you relax. Turn in early for our try on Thorong La the next day.

As we leave the High Camp, we will watch the sunrise over the peaks of Gangapurna, Annapurna, Thorong, and Khatung Kang. We will reach the top of the Thorong La Pass (5416m.|17769ft.) and then walk down to Muktinath (3800m.|12467ft.), which will take around 5 hours. For both Buddhists and Hindus, the settlement of Muktinath holds great spiritual significance. Before hopping on a local jeep and traveling an hour to the charming village of Jomsom (2715 m [8907 ft]), there are a number of temples and shrines to visit as pilgrimage sites.

It will be a twenty-five-minute flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. We'll spend the night in a hotel in Pokhara. We can plan a trip for you to see Pokhara if that's what you'd prefer.

It is a 7:30 a.m. bus ride from Pokhara to Kathmandu, followed by a 6:00 p.m. farewell dinner with our team. We will listen to your experience of your trek while having dinner.
