Breakfast in Kathmandu and drive to Gorkha ( about 4 hours) and sight seeing in Gorkha. Situated on a western hill overlooking the snow-clad peaks belonging to the Great Himalayan Ranges, Gorkha was the former capital of the un-united west Nepal before or till the 17th century. It houses two attractive Hindu temples of Lord Gorakhnath and Goddess Kali. It is the birth-place of late King Prithbi Narayan Shah-the sole Propounder of Modern Nepal. It is to be well acknowledged that late King Prithbi Narayan Shah was the last monarch of Gorkha and the first monarch of new Nepal. An optional tour to Mankamana consuming in fact a trek of 4 hours is suggestive because it turns out to be very interesting and enjoyable. The world famous Gorkha mercenaries hail from this district pertaining to Gandaki Zone of Mid-Western Development Region.
Today starts the real trek, we will start walking after our breakfast in Gorkha. The trail is wide and gradual up and down. We will stop for Lunch after 2-3 hours walk and continue to prakash's home village and camp there for over night. The walk will be about 5 hours excluding rest and lunch time.
We will start our day as yesterday after breakfast and will stop for lunch on the way. We will have good views of Mt. Manasalu whcih we would have already started seeing from Gorkha and you will see some more peaks towards to Ganesh Himal. We will be at Arughat the very laid back town though the town was second biggest town of Gorkha district since many decades. We will camp at Arughat by the bank of Gandaki river which is listed on 10 biggest rivers of Nepal.
After breakfast, we will start our day as usual cross the Budhi gandaki river over the suspension bridge and arrive at Dhading district as the border of Gorkha and dhading district is that Budhi Gandaki river. We will explore Arughat Bazzar of Dhading side and climb up to Salyantar ( the biggest Plato of Dhading District), after having seen of several ethnic groups of Settlements in Salyantar, we will be heading lower down to the valley of Netrawati river and trek along the river bank and cross Netrawati river over foot bridge made by woods and clay. We will have to gain some altitude to reach our Camp Simple from the view of Netrawati river valley and some famous snow capped peaks toward south range of Ganesh Himal and Langtang.
We are heading to less explored region of Dhading district and will mostly see the ethnic groups like Tamang, Magar, Bhote and few bramin/chhetri, you will already find the farming tresses are spectacular and narrow which looks like a series of green valley though its not on the same level. Over night at Tharpu know as a old Magar and Gurung Village, the farmers grow corn, millet rather than rice in the region as the climate is not warm enough and tresses are not big to hold the water for rice field but they try to grow rice at least in their few tresses for the festivals. In the past, the rice food used to eat only in the festivals in the mountains as they did not have money to buy rice from the lowland or India. They used to save their own grow rice for the festivals and eat, corn, millet normally. We stay over night in Tharpu tonight.
As everyday, we will start our day after breakfast and discover the small up and down hills towards to trisuli bazzar through the Tamang village and still very laid back though located close to Trisuli bazar a nice town. Trisuli Bazzar has been a biggest shopping centre for the villages surrounding. We will camp before trisuli bazzar and keep the curiosity of seeing trisuli bazzar for tomorrow.
Breakfast at camp and walk to trisuli bazzar whcih is about 2 hours and explore trisuli bazzar, have lunch there and drive to Kathmandu which is about 4 hours drive. On the above trek, we will walk about 5-6 hours every day and we will walk above 600 800 meters nearly 2000 meters and you will have good views of Manasalu region, part of Annapurna from far, very close views of Ganesh Himal and Langtang ranges.
