Overview

The name Annapurna, which means "The Provider" in Sanskrit, can also be rendered as "Goddess of the Harvests." Five of Annapurna's several high peaks are identified by names that include the word "Annapurna." At the western and eastern ends of the mountain, the two tallest of these—Annapurna I and II—stand like bookends. This is the most popular trail, and it passes by some of the most breathtaking scenery on the planet. At the base of the world's deepest gorge, Kali Gandaki, and the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. You will be leisurely walking through rhododendron forests. Treks into this area begin in Pokhara and end in Pokhara.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival at Kathmandu (1400m , 4593ft)

Our  airport representative of Adventure Glacier Treks will great you at the arrival gate of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu. And you will be transferred to a hotel, after which there will be a briefing about the necessary procedures, the trekking route, and your trekking permits. Depending on your arrival time, you can spend your free time visiting nearby temples or taking rest.

Day 2 : Drive to Pokhara ( 822m ,2696 ft )

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus. Usually, “Tourist “ buses depart at 7:00 am from Kathmandu and take 6-7 hours depending on road conditions.  After arriving at the hotel, taking rest at hotel or go for a walk around the Lakeside or maybe paddle some of the lakes. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 : Drive to Naya pool and About 3 hours trekking (1065m, 3494 ft)

We will leave Pokhara after breakfast  by private vehicle. The road winds through the scenic countryside for about 2  hours to reach the hiking trail at Nayapul. It is the confluence of the Modi River which flows through the Annapurna Base Camp and the Burundi River. We followed the Burundi River upstream for about 3 hours to reach Tikhedhunga. Tikhedhunga is an appealing little village filled with guesthouses where we will spend the night.

Day 4 : Climb up to Ghorepani about 5 hours trekking ( 2860m, 9383ft)

After breakfast, we will start the day trek by climbing uphill to the village of Ulleri. There are about 3,000 stone steps leading up to Ulleri village, which will take you about 2 hours to climb. From Ulleri, the trail climbs gradually through the forest for another 3 hours to Ghorepani at 2,855m. Ghorepani is a pass overlooking the deep valley of Kali Gandaki located between the two peaks of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna.  Over night at trekking lodge.


Day 5 : Hike to poon hill and Trek to Tada Pani 7 hours ( 3210m,10531ft ), (2630m ,8628ft)

Poon Hill is one of the best viewing spots in the Annapurna region. We will walk about 50 minutes to Poon Hill at 3,200m to see the sunrise on the top of the Himalayas. Around 15 different peaks can be seen including Dhaulagiri I (8,167m / 7th highest), Annapurna I (8,091m / 10th highest), and Manaslu (8,156m / 8th highest). After breakfast, we will be trekking to our next destination which is Tadapani. 

Day 6 : Trek to Chhomrong about 6 hours trekking (2170m , 7119ft)

From Tadapani, we descend about 900 metres to the Gurjung River valley. Gradually climb along the ridge to Chhomrong located high on the ridge. Chhomrong is a large Gurung village in the corridor of Annapurna Sanctuary. The village offers close-up views of Annapurna South (7,219 m),Huuchuli and  and Fishtail (6,993 m).

Day 7 : Trek to Dovan trekking about 5 hours (2600m, 8530ft)

We will be trekking down Chhomrong Khola (river) then go up Sinwa for  about 3 hours. From here, we enter a steep valley towards Annapurna Sanctuary at the foothills of Annapurna South and Fishtail. From Sinwa, we will be trekking down to the Modi river at the small village of 'Bamboo' for 2 hours, then ascended for another hour to Dovan (2400m). 

Day 8 : Trekking to Deaurli for about 6 hours (3230m,10597ft)

Above Dovan, we enter an area where the effects of the altitude effect were felt. Then, at a slow pace, we ascended to another Himalayan hamlet in 2 hours The trail is very peaceful with green lush forest  and water falls.. After the Himalayas (2,900m), we forward to the rocky terrain steeply for an hour to reach Hinku cave. Deurali is across the arduous moorland blocked by streams with deposited ice, you can feel the remotness of the Himalaya which makes you very fresh amd mind fullness.

Day 9 : Trek to Annapurna Base Camp takes about 4 hours (4130m, 13549ft )

The trail from Deurali to Fishtail Base Camp is an avalanche-prone area. So we will change the route across the Modi river depending on the situation and season. Count about 2 hours to reach the fishtail base at an altitude of 3700 m. At Fishtail Base Camp, the valley opens wide and is resplendent with beautiful snow-capped peaks. The trac leading to Annapurna Base Camp (4130m/13550ft ) gradually climbed up the snowfield and the edge of the glacier. At base camp, we were at the foot of the tallest mountains in the world that surrounded us 360 degrees.

Day 10 : Trek back down to Doban takes about 7 hours (2600m, 8530ft)

After watching the magnificent sunrise over Annapurnas, we will be hiking back towards Doban. The first part of the trail can be steep  then gets back to gradual downhills. Dovan is a river junction of  two streams.

Day 11 : Trek back to Sinuwa takes about 6 hours (2170m, 7119ft)

We  will be following the path  along the river and peaceful forest  with water falls sounds and  birds. Taking an easy the up hills towards to  Sinuwa hill, Over night at trekking lodge at Sinuwa.

Day 12 : Trek to Jhinu and Drive back to Pokhara

Trekking about 2 hours to Jhinu the  natural hotspring, spend sometimes in the hot spring to bath, Lunch there and then drive back to Pokhara or trek further more  and then drive back to Pokhara. Its time to change our  fresh city clothings and enjoy the  choices of  foods in Pokhara fancy restaurants, a very hot shower fantastic.
